Outside of the office, Denise is passionate about community outreach, especially Prison Ministry, where she has been a VIC (Volunteer in Corrections) for 18 years with the Missouri Department of Corrections. Not only does she partake in weekend retreats with Kairos and REC (Residents Encounter Christ) at Chillicothe Correctional Center, Denise is also a part of a ministry called StoryLink, which allows offenders to read and send a book with a CD recording to children in their lives.
